Increasing the evidence-base for Primary Care Practice.
The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care Research is a partnership between nine leading academic centres for primary care research in England.
Established in 2006, we work to increase the evidence base for primary care practice through high quality research and strategic leadership, and to build capacity in primary care with a well established training programme.
Current Funding Opportunities
Undergraduate Internship Programme
The NIHR School for Primary Care Research (SPCR) is supporting 18 Primary Care research internships in the Summer of 2024. Internships are open to students from any degree course from any university in the UK.
Applications close at 13.00 on 28 March 2024.
Mental Health Funding Opportunities
We are thrilled to announce that the National Health Institute for Health and Social care (NIHR) has invested a further £4.98 million in the Three NIHR Research Schools’ Mental Health Programme. This second phase will build on our early successes in phase one, supporting the implementation of evidence into practice and policy and will be prioritised to populations and themes not significantly represented in phase one.
