\n \n \n \nOn 24 and 25 November the NIHR Trainees Co-ordinating Centre (TCC) held its ninth Annual Trainee Meeting at the Queens Hotel, Leeds, West Yorkshire. The theme was 'Making a Difference - from evidence to impact' and brought together 247 enthusiastic delegates to represent all levels of trainee.

\n \n \n \nResearchers across four School departments have been involved in a project to explore the causes of the evidence to practice gap (2nd translational gap) for complex interventions in primary care and what strategies are effective for closing the gap. The project, led by Professor Elizabeth Murray (UCL) and Professor Bie Nio Ong (Keele), completed last year and the team were invited to present their findings to the NIHR Evaluations Trials and Studies (NETSCC).

She illustrated research impact with examples from the School's contributions over the past nine years. The dinner was held at Somerville College, Oxford, after two guest lectures by Chris Ham (The King's Fund) and Graham Watt (Glasgow University).
