Congratulations to SPCR colleague Dr Andrew Finney from the Keele School of Nursing and Midwifery who has been awarded the post of National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Senior Research Leader for Nursing.

Dr Finney is one of only 20 nurses across England to receive the award and title. The role is funded by the NIHR at 0.4WTE and will allow Andrew to undertake his role hosted by the Midland Partnership Foundation Trust. Andrew aims to develop wider research engagement, research delivery and research leadership for nurses. His new role is funded for 3 years.

Dr Finney supports the SPCR with a co-designed webpage, with primary and community nursing colleagues, on the SPCR website. The webpage provides a focal point for nurses with an interest in primary and community nursing research.
