\n \n\n \n \n \nDoctoral researcher Benjamin Fletcher and researchers at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge have had their publication 'Self-monitoring blood pressure in patients with hypertension: an internet-based survey of UK GPs' featured in the August edition of BJGP. The research presents the findings of a survey (with 300 GPs) to assess current practice of using self-monitoring of blood pressure (SMBP) for the control of hypertension.

Matthew's research explores continuity of care and person-centred care, with a foundation in dermatological issues in general practice and wider primary care.

\n \n\n \n \n \nFleeting \u2018mini-strokes\u2019 suffered by 50,000 Britons a year may have a long-lasting impact, experts warn.\r\nMini-strokes, also called transient ischaemic attacks or TIAs, are usually considered a short-term issue and are often dismissed as exhaustion, a migraine or a \u2018funny turn\u2019. When they are taken seriously at all, it is usually because they can be a warning sign that a major stroke is on the way.
