SPCR Board member from the University of Southampton, Professor Paul Little, has been awarded the RCGP's Discovery Award in recognition of outstanding research in general practice.

Paul's research, and its translation into policy and practice, has been at the forefront of primary care research in the UK and internationally. His focus has been avoiding the harms of overtreatment of common self-limiting conditions such as sore throat, earache and painful eyes. HIs work on antibiotic prescribing has been at the forefront of primary care research and has changed practice and behaviours. The School would like to congratulate Paul on this achievement.
