Project Title:  The Affordability of NHS Dental Services in the UK

Brief Summary:  Oral diseases affect nearly half of the population in the UK, with strong socioeconomic inequalities in disease burden and access to dental services. 95% of dentistry is provided in primary care, where many patients are required to pay a proportion of the cost of their treatment. This project will use methods from health economics to investigate the impact of dental user fees on financial protection and access to treatment in the UK.
