We would like to invite applications to the NIHR School for Primary Care Research mentorship scheme

Mentorship for primary health care scientists

Mentors to the scheme will build an enabling relationship with  up to three mentees, matched where possible with the mentor’s experience and expertise.  Attached is more detailed information for mentors and an application form, which should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. The specification includes a description of the role which we hope you will find helpful.  You will see that we have indicated that mentors will normally have approximately four contacts with their mentee each year, lasting an hour or two.  This is normally about right but arrangements are flexible and negotiated between individuals.

Mentors will receive travel expenses to the mentorship training session.  This training session will be held for both SPCR mentors and SAPC mentors.

Please note that the next Mentorship Training day will take place on 1 April 2014 in London

We would like as many mentors as possible to attend that event, so if you are planning to apply and would like to join us on the day please put the date in your diary.

Please send your application form and CV to Georgina Fletcher by  7 March 2014.
