To mark Suicide Prevention Day 2025, the NIHR School for Primary Care Research (SPCR) is highlighting some projects that demonstrate the power of community in supporting mental health and wellbeing.

SPCR IN Focus | Suicide Prevention Day 2025

The triennial theme for World Suicide Prevention Day (2024–2026) is “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”. This theme calls on us all to challenge harmful myths, reduce stigma, and foster open, compassionate conversations about suicide.  The NIHR School for Primary Care Research (SPCR) host the Three NIHR Research Schools' Mental Health Research Programme, an initiative that focuses on improving mental health outcomes and this includes commissioning research to evaluate interventions aimed at reducing suicide attempts and suicide.
