SPCR colleagues were well represented at the SAPC Annual Scientific Meeting held in Cardiff this July, with several members receiving awards in recognition of their work in primary care research.

SPCR members awarded at SAPC ASM 2025

The SAPC Annual Scientific Meeting took place in Cardiff in July and brought together researchers from across the UK to share work in academic primary care. Several colleagues from the School for Primary Care Research (SPCR) received awards at the conference recognising their contributions to research in Primary Care.

The SPCR would like to congratulate the following recipients on their awards, including:

SAPC Senior Investigator Research Prize Winner 

  • NIHR Senior Investigator and SPCR colleague Ian Maidment, from Aston University

  • and SPCR Deputy Academic Capacity Development Lead Hazel Everitt from the University of Southampton  

SAPC Junior Investigator Research Prize Highly Commended 

ASME/SAPC Education Prize WINNER 

  • Former SPCR Intern Aisia Lea from the University of Nottingham 

Best Poster Prize WINNER 

Best Poster Prize HIGHLY COMMENDED
