Policy decisions shape every aspect of health care organisation and delivery. As researchers, we often generate or have access to information that could help shape policy decisions and drive meaningful change. It can be challenging, though, to understand how to engage and effectively communicate with policy makers to increase the chances of our evidence informing policy development. This interactive masterclass will focus on practical approaches and strategies to help address this gap, helping you communicate your research findings with clarity and relevance. You'll learn how to craft compelling policy briefs, frame your evidence within current policy contexts, and build productive relationships with decision-makers. Whether you're seeking to influence commissioning decisions, inform guidelines, or secure research funding, this session will be a space for reflection and learning about how to effectively engage with the policy process and amplify your research's real-world impact.

Target audience:

SPCR Member and wider with interest in topic area, particularly early to mid-career researchers.
