Former Three Schools’ Mental Health Programme award holder Stephanie Ejegi-Memeh is continuing to make an impact through her work championing equity in black-led public health.

From Research to Action: Supporting Black Communities in Southwark

Stephanie Ejegi-Memeh, a previous Three Schools’ Mental Health Programme Career Development Award holder has created a directory of Black-led voluntary and community sector organisations for Black people in Southwark.

Stephanie has also produced a blog post partly based on her previous award. The post argues that inclusion alone is not enough - research must go further to genuinely serve marginalised communities. It suggests that researchers move beyond tokenistic involvement to empower marginalised voices through deeply collaborative, context-aware, and sustained public health research.
