BJGP press release on SPCR-funded research on violence and abuse of general practice staff

The British Journal of General Practice (BJGP) has issued a press release highlighting an SPCR-funded paper on violence and abuse towards general practice staff, led by award holder Dr Shihning Chou from the University of Nottingham.

The study, published in BJGP, explores the prevalence, contributing factors, and impacts of violence and abuse directed at general practice staff by patients and the public. It found that such incidents are widespread internationally and have significant consequences for workforce wellbeing and retention.
