The awards recognise and celebrate innovative, inclusive and meaningful involvement of people and communities in SPCR-funded research and activity.
The awards are open to SPCR member departments, including researchers, research support staff, and public and community partners.
There are three award categories:
- An award for public and community partners involved in research
- An award for early career researcher / support staff
- An award for research projects
Prizes
- Gift vouchers (£100 for award recipients in each category and £50 for highly commended nominees from each department, per award category)
- An invitation to attend the SPCR 20th Anniversary Celebration at Keele University on 10 November 2026 (with travel and accommodation covered)
- All nominees will receive a certificate of recognition and all nominations received will be showcased at the celebration event
How to nominate
Read the guidance and submit your nomination via the online or offline form.
- Nominations must relate to SPCR-funded research or activity, and you can not self-nominate.
- Submissions should be in Plain English (up to 500 words)
The deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday 28 July 2026 at midday.
