INVOLVE are working on setting some Public Involvement standards that the NIHR will ask organisations to uphold when running involvement activities. The Standards are building on existing examples, experience and good practice from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are seeking feedback from different stakeholders about their draft standards. PDF available here.
There are 6 core ‘standards’, ‘ a set of statements that describe what good public involvement in research looks like. Each standard has a set of ‘indicators’ that describe ways in which a standard can be met alongside ‘illustrations’ of what that might look like in practice.
We would like to respond to these as an organisation, and so ask for your feedback on this document.
The feedback will be submitted using this form.
Please send any feedback to emma.palmer-cooper@phc.ox.ac.uk before the 15th August, and these will be taken into account when formulating our response.
